Have you ever felt like there was a story about your life or about some part of your life that shaped you? That you in fact couldn’t seem to change the script because the story was so ingrained in yourself or the people around you? Most folks in the Episcopal Church are shaped by the idea that we are part of a dying church, a declining denomination.
Yet, we may not realize that the stories we tell about our past and present affect our future. I commend these two videos by my seminary dean, Ian Markham. His talk is titled “The myth of the decline of the Episcopal Church.”
